These look really sharp on the kindle. The white surface with grey screen on the kindle 2 is harder to look at in bright light than with one of these covering it. It also would depend on the design and color of the design you pick. There's hundreds of them. They are easy to put on and if you don't get it right the first time, they are also easy to lift and change position before finally laying it down. The surface has a shiny appearance that is consistent with the surface of the device and looks like it belongs there once it's in place. It really makes it easier to read for me. I love the look of the front when I'm reading. I never see the back! These covers don't seem to scratch either.
